Dreaming of hitting the road in your LandCruiser for days or weeks on end, without worrying about power for your fridge or electronics? Our recent work on this 300 Series LandCruiser proves how the right upgrades can make all the difference. We transformed this Toyota into the ultimate holiday companion.
Picture this: You're parked at a stunning remote campsite, your fridge is keeping the drinks cold, your devices are charged, and you've got all the power you need to keep the good times rolling. Our customer came to us with a vision for extended travel, and that is what we achieved.
First up, we tackled the power setup. We fitted a second battery under the bonnet (right next to the starter battery) using a purpose-built 300 Series tray. To keep everything running smoothly, we installed a Redarc BCDC charger - this clever unit makes sure your starter battery stays powered while keeping that auxiliary battery topped up from your alternator.
We added a solar Anderson plug so you can easily use a solar blanket when you're camped up. No more worrying about that fridge draining the battery while you're enjoying the landscape.
Speaking of convenience, we fitted the rear cup holder console with all the power points required: a standard power socket, dual USB ports for keeping phones and tablets running, and a flush-mount Anderson plug. It's all about having power where you need it, when you need it.
For those planning to tow a van (because let's face it, sometimes you want some extra comfort), we installed a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite brake controller. It's the gold standard for smooth, safe caravan towing, giving you complete confidence on those long trips.
The result? The LandCruiser is now fully equipped for holiday travels, offering reliable power for accessories like the rear fridge and ensuring safe towing capabilities for the caravan.
